v21.1
Custom Lyrics for iTunes Tracks
June 11, 2026
- Custom lyrics for iTunes tracks — add your own synced .lrc lyrics for any song, including iTunes Library tracks that couldn't previously have associated lyrics files. Drop lyrics into the new Lyrics folder, or use the new “Import Lyrics File…” action.
- Hide the slider knob — a new “None” knob size option hides the scrubber and volume thumbs for a cleaner player while keeping the controls fully draggable. This is now the default.
- Smoother song changes — improved lyrics loading reduces brief pauses when switching tracks.
- Clearer playback errors — when a FLAC or other audio file can't be decoded, the player now explains why instead of silently failing.
- External file share reliability — mounted folders are now monitored for stale connections, with automatic repair, clear Remount prompts, and affected mounts highlighted in the Files tab.
- Fixed multiple playback crashes (gapless preloading, audio route and configuration changes, fast seeking, and previous-track).
- Fixed crashes when locking or unlocking during background playback, and when rotating the device while the queue or lyrics were scrolling.
- Fixed a crash when scrolling large libraries.
- Fixed an issue where favoriting a song could temporarily revert album artwork to the placeholder image.
- Resume position is now saved continuously during playback, preserving your place after an unexpected crash or force-quit.
- Fixed the 10-band EQ overflowing on some devices, and Plus/Max iPhones showing the iPad layout in landscape.
- Offline Last.fm scrobbles are now retried automatically on launch or when returning from the background.
