Why iPhone can't play WavPack natively

iOS has no WavPack support — the Music app cannot open a .wv file, and Files-app previews do not apply. As with APE, the conventional answer has been converting the collection to FLAC or ALAC before it can reach an iPhone, forking the library in the process.
